SeedSava is a simple but revolutionary new product, designed and manufactured in the UK, based on many years of vegetable growing experience, to help any gardener to sow seeds neatly, economically and efficiently.

The device comes in two parts: a base which sits along the prepared seed drill, and a hopper, which clips into and slides gently a short way along the base.
When the holes in the hopper align with the holes in the base, the seeds drop through on to the ground in the desired position.

Once the required colour hopper has been positioned into the base, put a small number of seeds in the hopper. Check the holes are closed over the base and then tip or jiggle the seeds down the length of the hopper until you have a seed in every hole.

Place on the lid, this will assist with returning any unused seed into the packet and can be used to reduce the risk of any light seeds blowing away in windy conditions.

Then place the Seedsava on the soil where you want to sow, and slide the hopper gently until the holes on the hopper line up with the holes in the base, this will allow the seeds to discharge onto the ground.

Make sure the seeds are over the holes while the hopper and base are in the closed position. Then when you want to sow, push the hopper gently until the holes line up and the seeds will discharge on to the ground.

Then simply move the device along the row by its own length and repeat until you have sown all the seeds you want. Don’t forget to label the row!

Using the SeedSava means you will reduce the amount of seed you sow, and therefore fewer seedlings will grow – and you will have less thinning to do. Less thinning means less disturbance to the roots of the seedlings you want to keep, and less chance of disease getting in through the loosened soil.

You will also waste less seed and have more left over for next year!
